Psoy KOROLENKO / new program ''HAT WITH LITTLE EARS''
Fr 02.08. 20:00 Uhr
Early and new, ancient and contemporary, self-created and by other authors, original and translated, funny and serious, simple and complex, silly and smart, good and of all kinds, songs and not songs, by the avant-bard and wandering scholar Psoy Korolenko in a new program "HAT WITH LITTLE EARS"
Psoy Korolenko (Pavel Lion) is a singer-songwriter, columnist, translator and scholar. His unique song-based cabaret combines traditions of Russian folk song, Soviet and international variety music, world music, songs from movies, plays and shows. He sings in Russian, French, Yiddish, English, Portuguese, often in two or more languages at one time. His songs, apparently stylistically eclectic and hyper playful, uniquely combine high and low registers, simplicity and compexity, drama and optimism. They address people of all lifestyles, tastes, generations and traditions, always going beyond the borders, non-obtrusively and softly making people feel united. We can see all these features in the new program, consisting of both renowned hits and premiere songs.
